Harrison, Larry E. 73, of Chippewa Falls, WI, went to walk with his Lord and Savior in heaven on April 16, 2014. Born June 30, 1940 in Osakis, MN to Lucy (Meyer) and Frank Harrison, and graduated from Osakis High School in 1958. He attended St. Cloud State University and graduated from University of Minnesota in 1964 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He married Roberta "Bobbi" Soelberg on September 14, 1968 in Minneapolis. He was employed at Northern States Power Company in Minneapolis. In 1976 he worked for Cooperative Power/Great River Energy until his retirement. After his retirement Larry and Bobbi moved to Silver Bay, MN where they could experience their deep love of the "North Shore" of Lake Superior. It is also where they loved to spend time in their RV each fall. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting with his son and brother-in-law and in years previous with his own Dad. In 2008, he and Bobbi moved to Chippewa Falls to be near family. Survivors include his wife, Roberta; a daughter, Laura (Willy) Wendler, all of Chippewa Falls; a son Brian (Lori) Harrison of Rochester, MN; a sister, Gwen (Ken) Nelson of Alexandria, MN; four grandchildren, Kristina (fiancé Matt Hoffman) Wendler, John Wendler, Rylan and Anna Harrison; nephew, Jim Nelson and niece, Missy Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in infancy. Services will be at 2 p.m., April 27 at the Chapel of the Resurrection at the Chippewa Manor, Chippewa Falls. Interment will be at a later date at Osakis Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
