Chester B. Parrish

Parrish, Chester B. age 92, died on October 6, 2013 in North Branch. Born in Duluth, MN, to Mabel (née Sanford) and John Parrish. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He married Dorothy Beasley and together they farmed for many years in Rush City and then owned and operated "Chet's Service and Repair" in North Branch for over 30 years. Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dorothy. Survived by children, Patricia Parrish (Dave Schaffer); Michael (Melinda) Parrish; Kathleen (Ray) Watkins; Cynthia (Craig) Dyrdahl; Colette (Jim) Zunk; Jon (Jill) Parrish and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Mattson Funeral Home and one hour prior to service. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
