Goebel, Gordon O. Age 74 of Dayton, MN, passed away peacefully Monday, August 5, 2013 with his wife by his side. Gordy was born in Rush City, MN on Jan. 4, 1939 to Otto Goebel and Erma Moses Goebel. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Kirk; brother, Gary (Lorraine); mother- in-law, Jeanette Anderson and other family and friends. Gordy had the opportunity to travel to several countries/cities through his job at Aero Systems Engineering. He was active in sports and coached youth sports. He loved spending time at the cabin on Sand Lake, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, father-in-law, sister- in-law, brother-in-law and a niece and nephew. A Memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 7 at The Anoka Legion, 400 W. Main St., Anoka, MN. Visitation at 12 noon. Interment at Ft. Snelling at a later date. He was a member of Anoka Legion Post #102. Cremation Society of MN 763-560-3100
