Swanson, Richard Emil "Dick" Age 90 of Ramsey. He was born 3/13/1926 in Little Falls, MN to Emil and Hattie Swanson. Graduated from the U of M in 1951, then served in the Korean War. He married Nancy in 1953 and retired after 34 years as the Anoka County Extension Director. He was also a U of M Professor Emeritus. Preceded in death siblings Clifford, Shirley Keeler and Beverly Clark. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Nancy; children Lynn (David) Blackstad, Richard (Helen), Karen (Lee) Nerison and Tim; family friend Richard Kerling; grandchildren Joseph (Allison), Emily, Jeffrey, Timothy, Elizabeth (Lawrence), Molly and Andrew; great granddaughters Kaydence and Hailey; brother James (Jackie); many other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, 10 AM at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka. Visitation Wednesday 5-8 PM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka and one hour prior to Mass at the church. Private interment Fort Snelling Cemetery.
