Castor, Margaret Blanche A resident of Minneapolis, MN, died peacefully of natural causes on April 5, 2013. She was 93. Margie was born in Waterville, MN, on December 7, 1919 to Henry and Blanche (Mills) Grobe. She will be greatly missed by her loving brother and sister-in-law Richard and Arlene Grob, sister-in-law Elaine Castor, brother-in-law Peter Castor, nieces, nephews, and several extended family members, friends, and neighbors. Margie was always a spunky, caring and giving woman. People who had the pleasure of sitting down at her table know that entertaining was an art form for Margie. Art itself was also a passion. She was a docent for Minneapolis Institute of Arts for several years, and was a world traveler in search of art, history, artifacts, and new adventures. Margie will also be remembered for her love of dogs, gardening, and reading. In 1939, Margie married her first love, Marvin Bock. They adopted a son, John (Johnnie) Mills Bock, in 1950. Tragically, Marvin died in 1951. Margaret married her second and last love in 1954, John Edward Castor. John died September 29, 2012, leaving Margie truly saddened. Margie always marveled at how lucky she was to have had two wonderful husbands. Margie also was preceded in death by both of her parents, brothers Everett and A. Harold, and son Johnnie. Margie will be laid to rest on April 19, 2013 in a private family service, and will be buried at Fort Snelling next to her son, Johnnie, and her husband, John Edward Castor. holcombhenryboom.com 651.482.7606
