Danser, J. Eric 59, born in Evanston, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly in his Excelsior home on March 12, 2013. Entrepreneur and gifted craftsman and artist, he loved working with his hands and spending the beautiful Minnesota summers swimming in Christmas Lake. A lover of animals, good music and playing the guitar, he is survived by daughters, Lila Danser and Emily Danser Kanarath (Sachin); former wife, Jane Stark of Excelsior, MN; mother, Pamela Danser of Chanhassen, MN; sister, Dolly Danser (Brian) of Marco Island, FL; brother, George Danser (Jean) of Durham, NC; brother, Quentin Danser (Janice) of Edmond, OK; and 8 nieces and nephews. His sense of humor and presence in our family will be greatly missed, and his iconic Adirondack chairs that sit and overlook the lake serve as a testament to the careful, dedicated, and skilled craftsman that he was proud to be. Memorial service Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home Chapel, 520 Second St., Excelsior. A gathering of family friends will take place for one hour prior to the service. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to a charity to be determined by the family at a later date.
