Pugh, Paul Patrick age 66, Orono, MN. Born 12/20/46, St Paul, MN; Died 02/14/13, Grand Turk Island doing what he loved, scuba diving. Raised in Hastings, MN by parents Patricia (Miller) Pugh and Dr. Paul Pugh (both deceased). Survived by his best friend and loving wife, Karen (together almost 25 yrs); daughters, Michelle Pugh and Dawn (husband Matt, children Taylor and Katy) Emry, along with Ranger (golden retriever): son, Brett, and his sons, Christian and Kellen Hagelee along with River (golden lab) and Pat's, very special puppy Sami! Also survived my brothers, Dan and Mike (Diane); sister, Mary (Chuck) Caturia and their children. Karen's siblings, Kathy (Dean)Taylor, Bruce (Karen) Ogle , and Kurt (Cindy) Ogle and their children. Pat's best friend and soul mate Bill Knapp! Many other family members and friends. Pat attended U of MN for 3 yrs before enlisting in the US Navy in May of 1969 - 1973. He served in Vietnam waters on the air craft carrier U S S Ranger as well as being stationed in Subic Bay, the Philippines. Pat attained the national defense service medal and Vietnam service medal. Pat completed his education with a masters degree in business from St. Thomas University. His work career included Cenex, American Cyanamid, Interstate Seed/Payco and lastly Citizens Network for Foreign Affairs, as the regional Director for Russia. Pat and Karen spent 4 years living in Moscow and it was definitely the highlight of his career. Karen and Pat loved to travel and were fortunate to visit many foreign countries. Pat was a scuba diver for most of his life taking it up when he was in the Philippines. He became a certified diver in 2006 and they have enjoyed many trips with friends and family every year since. Services will be held at The Marsh (15000 Mtka. Blvd., Minnetonka, MN), Friday, March 1, at 5 PM. Fellowship (visiting with family and friends to follow from 6-8 PM).
