Dworsky, Ephraim Peretz "Uncle Pere" "Uncle Pere," as he was known by many, passed away peacefully at his home in St. Louis Park at the age of nearly 103 years old. Peretz was preceded in death by his parents Reva Vitoff Dworsky, William Dworsky, brother AY "Joe" Dworsky and sisters Dena Dworsky, Bella Moore-Dworsky and Bess Dworsky-Stein, brother-in-law Arnold Stein, sister-in-law Marion Fidelman-Dworsky, and nephews Robert "Ben" Dworsky and Joseph "Joey" Dworsky, Jr. Peretz is survived by his brother Mischa Dworsky and by many loving nieces and nephews. He was the patriarch of the William and Reva Dworsky Family for over 70 years, and he dedicated his life to his family, hosting and leading many family events and preserving many family traditions along with his two brothers and three sisters. Pere graduated from North High and Talmud Torah of Minneapolis. He served in WWII, stationed in India. He was a lifelong member of the Adath Jeshurun Congregation and Kenneseth Israel Synagogue of Minneapolis, a true philanthropist having regularly given to over 100 charitable organizations. He truly enjoyed his garden and neighborhood of Minikahda Oaks, singing at any chance and boating on the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers. His working life was spent as co-owner of his family's business known as the Dworsky Barrel Company, later re-named Consolidated Container Corporation. Pere will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Special thanks to the many people who helped Pere maintain his health and well being. A very special thank you to Dr. Raymond Scallen who promised to get him to the age of 100 and did, to Dr. Joseph Finne whose surgical skills saved and extended his life, and especially to his primary Caregiver Grace Chiluba, who has been by his side for the past 10 years.
