Genette Kay Griffin

Griffin, Genette 'Genie' Kay 71, entered into rest peacefully on January 27, 2013 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO, after a battle with cancer. Genie was born on June 26, 1941 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Rodger and Mildred (Hull) Lindgren. Genie had a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She raised four children, was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling. She was also a member of Splitlog Baptist Church in Goodman, MO. She is survived by her children; Kevin Lund & wife Angela, Elizabeth Dowell & her husband, Thomas, Frances Berg & her husband Brent; 7 grandsons and 1 granddaughter; 1 brother, Kirk Lindgren and his wife, Marilee. She was preceded in death by parents, Rodger & Mildred Lindgren and daughter, Lorena Lund. Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, February 1, 2013 at Splitlog Baptist Church in Goodman, MO; Ministers Shannon Cobb and Chad Pendergraft officiating.
