Loing, Ole J. age 81, of Princeton, MN, passed away December 24, 2012. Born in Reynolds, ND on the family homestead on November 11, 1931 to parents Carl and Lilly Loing; one of nine children. Ole was a graduate of Reynolds H.S.; served in the U.S. Air Force; B.A. St. Olaf College and M.A. St. Cloud State; taught briefly in Mountain Lake and Orono, then retired after teaching 30 yrs in Minnetonka Public Schools. He resided in Princeton area since 1997. He loved gardening, music, woodworking, his Nordic heritage, had an insatiable curiosity and was a life-long learner. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survived by wife, Helen; daughters Kari (Michael Horak) and Inger (Al) Ruhoff; grandchildren Brooke and Finn; brother Richard and sister Corrine (Hatton). Preceded in death by siblings, Eleanor (Verosky), Leonard, Vernon, Francis (Josephson), Willard and Clarence "Pat". Remembrance may be sent to the family for a Bentru School memorial marker, a special project of the deceased to commemorate the one room school house where he began his education.
