Houglum, Korman A. age 87, of Gurnee, IL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Midwest Palliative Hospice Center, Glenview, IL. Born November 8, 1925 in Perley, MN the oldest child to the union of Oscar and Stella (Jacobson) Houglum where he was raised. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the US Army Air Corps and served in WWII in Burma. After the war, he resided in Vancouver, WA where he met and married his beloved spouse Jean Alva Paulson on August 10, 1947, where they resided for many years. He was a retired Vice President at U.S. Bank for over 38 years at the banks headquarters in Portland, OR. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jean in 2003. Loving father of Rev. Dr. Mark (Sue) Houglum of Bellevue, WA, Thomas (Linda) Houglum of Soldotna, AK, Susan (Dan) Knutsen of Boise, ID, and Kristine (Garth) Warren of Gurnee, IL. Fond grandfather of 11: Dr. Brook Houglum (Sean Conway), Luke Houglum, Dr. David (Melissa) Houglum, Daniel Houglum (Dr. Liezl Alcantara), Christopher Houglum, Rosemary Houglum, Erik Knutsen, Lars (Stephanie) Knutsen, Johnathan (Christie) Warren, Joel Warren, and Hannah Warren; and one great grandson, Noah Houglum.
