Larson, Richard Bruce age 78, of New Hope, passed away Nov. 10, 2012. He was born May 22, 1934, in Spring Grove, MN, to parents Clifford and Ione Larson. He grew up in Choice, MN and graduated from Rushford High School in 1952. After high school, he attended Winona State; joined the army and was stationed at Fort Clayton, Panama; and received his electrical engineering degree from the University of MN. He married Yvonne Haslerud on Dec. 26, 1959. For a short time, he worked at Lighting and Transients Research; the remainder of his career he worked at Honeywell. In retirement, he enjoyed tracing his Norwegian roots and growing his woodpile. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne; son, Brett; daughter, Rachel (Steve) Gibson; grandson, Brad Gibson; along with 4 nephews and 2 nieces. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Sudheimer and Sondra Hughes, and brother, Noel. Memorial service 2 pm Sat., Dec. 1, 2012 at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina (952-924-4100). Visitation one hour prior.
