Kerr, William Yancey Born 9/1/43 Shaker Heights, Ohio. Died peacefully 5/3/2016. Preceded in death by his father, John Seymour Kerr; and survived by his mother, Mildred Pierce Kerr; sister, Mary Kerr Nicoll (Matthew); niece, Katie Nicoll Newberry (Sam); nephew, William Neatby Nicoll (Emily), their children, Harper and Sawyer. He graduated from Woodberry Forest in Virginia 1962, received his B.A. cum laude from Wooster 1966, served honorably in Vietnam as a paratrooper and Army intelligence officer 1969-70. He loved to play soccer, golf, and downhill ski; shared his love of art by teaching seniors. He never met a person he did not like; a charmer, voracious reader who had a gift for storytelling. Now he has a whole new audience to enrapture. We will miss him. Private family ceremony.
