Barthel, Bernard Mathias "Ben" age 58, of St. Michael. He was born in Buffalo on June 15, 1953 the son of Bernard A. & Irene M. Meister Barthel. Ben graduated from St. Michael High School in 1972. On February 2, 1973, Bernard M. "Ben" Barthel & Theresa "Terri" Armstrong were joined in marriage in Watertown, South Dakota. God blessed their marriage with a daughter. Ben and Terri were married for 39 years. He was employed for many years as a truck driver. He worked at Hennepin Transfer, Inc. He was a proud long time union member of Teamster Local #120. He was a lifelong member of The Church of St. Michael. Ben also belonged to The Minnesota Coon Hunters Association. Survived by his loving wife: Terri; a daughter: Danni Marie (Mark) Olson; a granddaughter: Talia; sisters and brothers: Lynette (Rick) Deziel , Benita (Jim) Oliver, Gerry Barthel, Gordy (Carole) Barthel , Theresa (Mike) Treptau, Michele (Dan) Pawelk, Charlene (Gerard) Willette, Lisa (Kenny) Daluge and Pam (Mike) Vetsch; his mother-in-law: Pat Armstrong; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Alice (Tim) Pettit, Mike (Wendy) Armstrong, Dan Armstrong and Laura Diemert; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and by his father-in-law: Harry Armstrong. A Mass will be held on Monday, March 26th at 10:30 A.M. at The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael.
