Casey, Donna Rae age 82, died peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Donna was born in Minneapolis to Aaron and Helen Robushin, who managed two Minneapolis hotels, the Minnesotan and the Maryland. Donna Rae and her brother, Gerald Robushin, grew up living in the hotels while spending weekends at their lake home in Minnetonka. Donna Rae made an impact on everyone and everything she touched; through her awesome personality, her laugh, her stories, and her art. Her love and expertise in the art of porcelain painting is known worldwide. She never saw a flower she didn't want to paint or another artist's work she didn't admire. For every piece of china she sold, she bought six more. Her family firmly believes she is now painting roses on the pearly gates of heaven. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick, daughter, Maureen (Gidge), and her parents, Aaron and Helen. She is survived by her brother, Gerald Robushin, her children; Michele, Tim (Terri), Sean, Kevin (Toni), Kathleen (Dave), Colin (Carol); sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 5th at 1:00 pm at the Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Ave. N., Plymouth, MN 55447. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the Oasis Hospice Unit of the Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo, MN or to the American Cancer Society.
