Mann, Mildred H. "Millie" age 94, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on the morning of February 8, 2012 at the Episcopal Home. She was born on July 22, 1917 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Elmer and Cecelia (Shagonebi) Knox. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Melvin Knox, Leola Crane, Edward Knox, and Julia Hale. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard "Dick"; children, Dunbar "Butch" Gibson II (Ethel), Saundra Bohanon (Michael), Richard Mann (Peggy), Stephan Mann (Terrell), and Margo Mann-Lanier (Virtis); grandchildren, Kathleen Bohanon, Linda Bohanon, Dunbar Gibson III, Dawn Spinks, Laura and Julia Mann, Stephan Mann, and Anne Mann Lanier; greatgrandchildren, Jonathan Spinks and Amira Mann Hill, Zoey Birdsong; and her surviving siblings, Virginia "Snookie" McGee, Agatha "Gat" Jenkins, and Elmer "Junie Boy" Knox. Mildred attended Howard University. She was Girl Scout troop leader (Michigan) and volunteer for North-End Block Nurses Program. She worked as medical assistant in Michigan, teacher's aid at St. Paul Franklin and Maxfield Schools. She also worked as a dietician and receptionist for NSP (Xcel Energy). She enjoyed cooking, was an avid reader, and frequently went to plays and concerts. She also enjoyed building her collection of clowns. The family extends many thanks to the staff of the memory-care unit Isabella House at the Episcopal Church Home in St. Paul for their loving care.
