May, William V. "Bill" age 70, of Minnesota, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Illinois, with his family by his side. He was born Sept. 19, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN, the youngest son of Frances & Peteronella (Wejers) May. Bill served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a talented carpenter and worked for Knutson Construction for over 40 years. Early in his career, he held office in his local carpenters union. He passed along his love of construction by spending countless hours building Play Mobile with his grandchildren. In retirement, he continued his passion by helping family members with home renovation projects. Bill was an avid fisherman and an active member of the Moose Lodge. He also worked tirelessly to perfect his lamb stew recipe. Bill was a loving & dedicated father, grandfather & friend and will be dearly missed. Bill is survived by his sons Guy (Kim) of IL and Chad (Rochelle) of NY; grandchildren Logan and Abby; sister Mary (Jim) Thomas of MN; brother Tom (Judy) of MN; mother of his children Judith May; & many other dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. Funeral Mass for Bill will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Basilica of St. Mary, 88 North 17th Street, Minneapolis 55403, Father John Bauer, celebrant.
