Gerdes, Donald P. Age 58, of Anoka passed away surrounded by family on September 30, 2011. Don is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; children, Jessica Miller (Donald), Derek Chapman; granddaughter, Shyanna; and grandson, Donald III. Don is also survived by his twin sister, Donna Lende (Vern) of Fargo ND and sister, Patty Thompson (Mark) of Minnetonka. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Don was preceded in death by his father Ralph Gerdes, mother Nan Angell, stepfather Dennis Angell and grandparents. A celebration of his life will be held on Sat., Oct. 8 from 1-4 at the Gearhart Funeral Home, 552 E. River Road in Anoka. Don loved bowhunting, golf and the Minnesota Vikings.
