Brodt, Jack W. age 94, of Roseville, passed away peacefully on Sept.12th, surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by loving wife, Bette. Survived by son, Jack (Marlene); grandchildren, Victry (Jennifer); Kerry (Patrick) Wethington, Winny (Justin) Brown, Chelsey (Craig) Rosenthal, & Tony Brodt; great- grandchildren, Hanna & Kyle Brodt, and Madeline, Audrey, Jacqueline, & Adeline Wethington. Jack graduated from Mechanic Arts H.S. in 1934 lettering in track. He joined the Navy when WWII broke out and served in the battle of Okinawa. He was always very proud of his Naval service. After the War, he worked at Hamm's Brewery before going into the insurance business. He was the founder and owner of the Jack W. Brodt Agency which began in the 50's and is still going strong today in Edina, Minnesota with his son Jack and grandson Vic currently carrying the business forward. Jack was an avid golfer and member of Midland Hills Golf Course from 1955 until his passing. He was a member at the Pool & Yacht Club in Lilydale for many years where he often dined on Saturday evenings. He had a passion for numbers, playing cards, reading, music, and travel. Small in stature, but big in heart, he will be missed by all of his family, friends, and associates. All are invited to attend a Celebration of Jack's Life on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM at MIDLAND HILLS COUNTRY CLUB, 2001 Fulham Street, Roseville, MN. 55113. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Evans Scholarship Fund at Midland Hills Country Club.
