Sidney Leroy Abbott

Abbott, Sidney Leroy age 97, died peacefully on August 25, 2011. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Sid was preceded in death by his wife Emma, to whom he was married for nearly 70 years, his daughter Jeanette Peters and daughter-in-law Karen Abbott. He is survived by son Raymond (Anita Costello) Abbott, daughter Beverly (Randy) Allen; son-in-law Gene Peters; granddaughters Kim Thill, Kerry Abbott, Kelly (Josh) Moe, Amanda (Jason Bauer) Allen-Bauer, Emily Allen; and great-grandchildren Ryan, Sidney, Jacob, Olivia, Lauren, Mackenzie, Noah and Quentin. Sid's family wishes to thank the staff at Guardian Angels of Elk River for their kindness and caring during his last weeks. A private interment will be held at Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids. For those who wish to remember Sid, please spend a few thoughtful moments in a garden; it was a place where he found peace and solace for many years of his life.
