Plotz, Stanley Walter 91, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born March 3, 1920 in Goodhue County, MN to Frank and Ida Merkins Plotz. Mr. Plotz was a founding member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. He retired from Western Electric and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette Pye Plotz; a son, Gerald; and three sisters, Frances Lange, Harriet Sekora, and Ruth Cork. Surviving are two sons, Fred Plotz of Winston-Salem, and Steve Plotz (Judy) of Baltimore, MD. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, July 23 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
