Sara Rose Deckert

Deckert, Sara Rose of Buffalo, Minnesota loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many passed away unexpectedly due to an automobile wreck on Sunday July 10, 2011. Sara was born on December 28, 1982 to Donald and Karen (Pikal) Deckert in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She graduated in 2001 from St. Michael/Albertville High School. Sara had worked for Stearns Manufacturing as a Product Tester, but had just recently returned from Nicaragua where she taught Spanish and English. Sara enjoyed photography, guitar, music, specifically "Smashing Pumpkins" and "Local H," and her black and white cat Lily, who was apparently fattened up while Sara was in Nicaragua. Sara was especially excited about being an aunt for the first time to niece Kieran O'Malley. She was also looking forward to being an aunt for the second time when her sister Leah Deckert gives birth. Sara is survived by her father Donald Deckert (step-mother Beverly), mother Karen Horsch, sisters; Leah Deckert, Amber Deckert, Arielle Deckert, grandparents; Charlotte Deckert, Edwin and Stella Pikal and Will and Betty Dahn. Sara also leaves behind many close personal friends. Sara is preceded in death by her step-dad Alan Horsch and grandfather Arthur Deckert. Funeral service for Sara Rose Deckert will be 1 p.m. Friday July 15, 2011 at Life in Christ Lutheran Church 5015 Main Ave Northeast Albertville, MN 55301. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday July 15, 2011 at Life in Christ Lutheran Church. Serving the family....
