Christensen, William Brian Age 75, of Bloomington, MN, died May 25 at Fairview Southdale Hospital. In addition to his wife, Marjorie, survivors include sons, William of Phoenix, AZ, and Walter (Kari) of Bloomington, MN; two grandchildren, Daniel and Katie; and sister, Joyce Christensen Butler. He was born in Duluth, MN on January 22, 1936. Graduated from Denfeld High School. Following High School, he graduated from University of MN Duluth 1959, B.A. in Business and Economics and William Mitchell College of Law, J.D. 1964. American Academy of Judicial Education, Diploma of Judicial Skills 1988. Served as President of Hennepin County Law Library Board of Trustees since 1993. Served as Municipal Court and District Court Judge from 1967 to 1996. Served as Assistant Chief Judge of District Court 1977 through 1979. Discussion leader at National Judicial College, Evidence Graduate Session 1976, Evidence Specialty Session 1978. Served as member of District Court bench of civil and criminal committees. Served in U.S. Navy Reserve for eight years and received honorable discharge. Member of MSBA and HCBA since 1964. His public service record spanned 30 years and he earned the reputation of being Fair and Just. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Celebration of his life will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 2 at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina, 952-924 4100.
