Larsen, David Christopher (aka Dwight and Eugene) April 1, 1958 to May 8, 2011 David never even had a chance to fight his battle against colon cancer. He was the most wonderful husband, father, brother, hockey coach, and uncle. He was smart, funny, hardworking and very caring. He dearly loved his wife of almost 24 years, Christa; his daughter, Christina (22), his son, Peter (19), and his pets Ellie, Hubert, Cedar, Tootsie and Holly. He loved his cabin and all his toys on Cedar Lake in Annandale, especially the fireworks show he would put on every 4th of July. He loved all the kids he coached in youth hockey, especially his talented, successful U14 girls. He loved music, good food, traveling, hunting, and spending time in Duluth and Charlevoix, Michigan. He was a well respected employee of USBank for 25 years, a graduate of Washburn High School and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. David is also survived by his older brother, Bob and sister, Peg Woodbury and her husband Steve; his nieces and nephews, Christopher, Heather, Jenny, Amy and Eric; his in-laws, Christine Lane of Midland, MI, Lisa Lane (and her daughter, Erin) of Commerce Township, MI and Mark Lane of Montrose, CO. In heaven, he met his parents, Miles and Margaret, father-in-law, Richard Lane, and all his previous pets. "Oh Starlight, don't you cry, we're gonna make it right, before tomorrow. Oh Starlight, don't you cry we're going to find a place where we belong. And so you know, you'll never shine alone." Lyrics by Slash, from "Starlight", one of David's favorite songs. Service details in Sunday's paper.
