Berg, Ronald A. The Lord called Ron home on April 20, 2011 at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald A. and Helen V. (Carlson) Berg. Ronald Arden Berg was born on March 22, 1947 in Minneapolis. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1965, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Augsburg College in 1969, followed by a Masters' Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1987. He served in the US Army from 1971-1973. On January 1, 1977, Ron wed Carole Anderson of Karlstad, MN. Three children were born to this marriage. Ron enjoyed a 38 year career as a band director and school administrator in Glenwood City, Clayton, Barron and Somerset, Wisconsin. Ron dedicated his life to serving Christ through music, as a choir director and keyboardist for worship at several area churches . He is survived by his daughter, Kirsten (Michael) Poggenklass of Cedar Rapids, IA; son, Bjorn (Stephanie) Berg of Oak Park, IL; son, Reid Berg of St. Paul; three grandchildren; one brother, David (Linda) Berg of Minneapolis; sisters, Bonnie (Cliff) Eng of Cokato and Lori Larson of Burnsville; former spouse, Carole (Anderson Berg) Kapus (Jerry) of Eau Claire, WI; and very significant friend, Sheryl Carlson of Forest Lake, MN. Memorial service Saturday, 4/30/11 at 11:00 a.m. at North Heights Lutheran Church, 1700 W. Hwy 96, Arden Hills, MN (Entrance A). Visitation Friday, 4/29/11 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service at church (Entrance B). Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery.
