Elmer E. Zahnow

Zahnow Elmer E., age 77, of Maple Grove, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002 following a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Gertrude; son, Daryl Zahnow & wife Wendy of St. Michael; daughter, Darla Smith & husband Richard of Hanover; 3 precious grandchildren, Brandon Zahnow, Bailey & Travis Smith; twin sister, Elnore Kostad of Willmar; brothers, Emil & wife Val, and Herbert of Madison, MN; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Donna & Leon Frantz; many nieces, nephews and friends including his neighbors at Woodland Mounds Senior Apts. in Maple Grove. Elmer's family would like to thank their wonderful friends and church family at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove for all the love and support they've given throughout Elmer's illness. Funeral Saturday, Jan. 5 at 11 AM at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Hwy. 101 & Bass Lake Rd. Visitation Fri. 5-8 PM at Gearty-Delmore Chapel of Plymouth, 37th Ave. N. & Vicksburg Lane, and one hour prior to service at church. Interment Maple Knoll Cemetery.
