Weber, Margarete age 89, of Fridley, MN. Margarete passed away peacefully on Jan. 17, 2011, surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by beloved husbands, Walter Wegge, Paul Himburg, and Albin Weber; by son, Uwe Himburg, and by daughter, Karin Walczak (Hubert). Beloved mother of Ingrid Cronin (Jim), and of grandchildren, Pamela Bredman (Derek), Nicole and Jeffrey Cronin; Daniel (Mary) and David Walczak, and Julia Sawyer (Steve). Cherished great-grandmother of Colton Bredman, Blake Sawyer and of Rachel and Samuel Walczak. Margarete or "Oma," as she was known to her family, was born in Langenbieber, Germany, and endured the loss of two husbands during World War II. She moved to America with her children in 1956, where she became the bride of Albin Weber, or "Opa" as he was known to Oma and his loved ones. Margarete is also survived by countless friends, especially those at Fridley's senior center where she loved to play 500 and bridge, and in Germany where there are many loving friends and relatives. She will be forever remembered as a devout Christian who maintained her Catholic faith after losing three husbands, a son and a daughter prior to her own passing. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Mary Gideo, Oma's volunteer caretaker and guardian over the past few years, to Drs. Paul Holten and Jeffrey Dick, and to the hospice nursing staff at North Memorial Hospital. Mass of the Christian Burial at 11 am Friday at St. William's Catholic Church in Fridley (6120 5th Street NE). Visitation from 10-11 am at the church, prior to mass. Luncheon to follow.
