Mooney, Carol Hope (Johnson) Age 96, of Maple Plain, went home to be with her Lord on November 20, 2010. Preceded in death by husband, Richard Clay Mooney; brother, Russell B. Johnson; and parents Oscar and Rosella Johnson. Survived by sons, Foster (Karen); Dean (Dawn); daughter, Jane (Arne) Olson; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Carol's life was dedicated to children. Over the span of her teaching career she taught in Richfield, Watertown, and Wayzata (Beacon Heights) Elementary Schools. She was a proud member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society for women educators. Carol taught Sunday School until she was nearly 80 years old, and was a 4H leader for the Armstrong 4H club. A special thank you to the staff of Haven Homes of Maple Plain for the loving care she received during the final years of her life. Services to be held on Tuesday, November 30 at the Maple Plain Community Church, 1815 Budd Avenue North at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment Lewis Cemetery, Maple Plain.
