Marie Lois (Anderson) Franzen

Franzen, Marie Lois (Anderson) Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great- Grandmother. Age 91, of St. Paul, died Oct. 8, at Lyngblomsten Care Center. Survived by children, Mark Franzen (Sheri Kahn), Camille Caldwell (Carl), and Lenore Franzen; grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by husband, Gerald; sister, Marian Bingea; brother, Mentzer Anderson; and son-in-law, Chris Knips. Born in Rush Point, MN in 1919, Marie lived in St. Paul, where she met her husband Gerald. They were married in 1943. They moved to Oak Park, IL in 1951, then to LaGrange in 1956. Marie and Gerry were active members of Grace Lutheran Church, where Marie also served as financial secretary until she retired. Much loved by all who knew her, Marie will be remembered for her service to others, her selflessness, and her courageous faith. Service Tuesday, October 12, 11 A.M. at GLORIA DEI LUTHERAN CHURCH, 700 South Snelling Avenue, St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior to the service.
