Glenn H. Omestad

Omestad, Glenn H. Age 89. Former resident of St. Louis Park and Edina, passed away on September 20 in Greenville, South Carolina. Preceded in death by his parents, Einar "Ed" and Emma Omestad; a son, Donald; his brother Henry; and his twin sister, Doris Jenny. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Muriel "Jo"; daughter, Jackie Currier; son, Thomas Omestad; daughter-in- law, Sara Lowen; and two grandchildren, Joanna and Kai Omestad. Interment will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Friday, October 15, 2010, with a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. He was a member of Union Congregational Church, of Paul Revere Masonic Lodge #321, and of American Legion Post #435 in Richfield. He played minor league baseball, served in the Navy in World War II, and had a 33-year career with Northern States Power Co.
