LeRoy Robert Olson

Olson, LeRoy Robert Born June 5, 1920 to Robert & Maude (Watson) Olson in Blackduck, MN, he passed away on Sept. 25, 2010 at Colonial Acres in Golden Valley at the age of 90. He was raised by his father & stepmother Mildred Olson in Blackduck and Dassel, MN. LeRoy had 4 sisters and 4 brothers and graduated from Dassel High School. He worked at the Fruen Milling Co. in Mpls before a lifetime career as a street car and bus driver in the city of Mpls. LeRoy married Mildred Eileen Tyni on June 17, 1944 and they spent most of their married life in Brooklyn Center. LeRoy is survived by his wife, Mildred, of 66 years; daughters, Barbara (Glen) Ramsborg of Arlington Heights, IL, Bonnie (James) Gallo of Suffolk, VA and son, Brian (Cyndi) Olson of Crystal; 9 grandchildren, Nathalie (Brian) Johnson, Christopher (Laura Karassik) Ramsborg, Andrew (Ashleigh) Gallo, Janelle Ramsborg, Brynn (Brian) Sobocinski, Eryn (Titus) Conley, Lauren Gallo, Bryce and John Olson. He was great-grandfather to 9, Blake Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Tyler Sobocinski, Lilly Gallo, Madelyn Sobocinski, Annalyse Johnson, Aubrey Gallo, James Gallo, Cossette Conley, and another to-be-born after the New Year. His daughter, Brenda Hampton Rooke, both his mother & father & stepmother, sister, Lucille Kroeger and brothers, Carl, Donald, William & Lyle Olson, preceded LeRoy in death. A private interment service will be held at Crystal Lake Cemetery on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 and a memorial service will be arranged at a later date. Washburn-McReavy Crystal Lake Chapel 612-521-3677
