Larson, Jean B. of Edina, passed away peacefully on 8/6/10, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with ALS at the age of 75. Survived by husband of 50 years, Bob; son, Cort; daughter, Cara (Mike) Terwilliger; grandchildren, Charlie and Alice Jean Terwilliger; mother, Vernette Williamson; sister, Judie (Jim) Mortenson; niece, Chris (Don) Wesen; and nephew, Greg (Cindy) Mortenson; other relatives and many friends. Graduate of Southwest High School and attended Gustavus Adolphus and the U of Minn. Jean's zestful enthusiasm, generous care of others and contagious sense of humor will be greatly missed. She always made time to help her family in countless ways, tackling any challenge with gusto. Whether on the tennis court, in the garden, playing with her grandchildren or planning a menu for the next get-together, Jean had a sparkle that everyone wanted to be around. Jean's family would like to express their deep appreciation to her many caregivers, including doctors, nurses and staff at the ALS Clinic and ALS Association. Memorial Service 5PM Thurs., Sept. 23 at Christ Presbyterian Church (70th St. & Hwy 100) in Edina, with reception to follow. Visitation 1 hour prior to service.
