Fussy, Mel Age 73, passed away September 15, 2010. Mel was a kind and gentle husband, devoted father and proud grandfather, the family provider and chief household engineer. He was a University of Minnesota graduate in Mechanical Engineering. He spent his career designing computers for commercial and defense applications primarily at EMR and Control Data. Before retiring he worked on smart card development at Cross Technology. In retirement he became an AARP tax preparer. Survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Deborah (Mark) Finnegan; son, Michael (Renee Bourget) and grandchildren, Matthew, Anna, Nicholas, Alexander and Jack; brother, Don (Delores) Fussy, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Matilda Fussy, and step-sister, Loretta (Carl) Trettel. Mass of Christian Burial September 21, 2010 at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM at the Church of St. Joan of Arc, 4537 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to Allina Hospice.
