Ole Cameron Mikkelson

Mikkelson, Ole Cameron age 76, of New Hope, passed away peacefully at home on 9/11/10 with his family around him. Preceded in death by parents, Ole and Clara; brothers, Clinton and James; and sister, Ardella Erickson. Survived by devoted wife of 57 years, Carolyn; children, Terry (Lynn), Kathy Hurd, David (JoAnne), Dale, Cheryl (Joe) Longwell, and Rick; 8 grandchildren, Kari Hurd, Matthew (Wanda) Mikkelson, Kristen Mikkelson, Dan Mikkelson, Kim Hurd, Chuck Longwell, Kellie Mikkelson, and Chad Longwell; 4 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Cameron Beckman, and Miai and Cade Mikkelson; brother, Ronald (LaVerne); sisters, Irene (Ray) Lanum, Darlene (Sherwood) Mickelson, and Carol (Lloyd) Akervik; numerous nieces and nephews. Ole was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church. He was very proud to coach both baseball and football at Longfellow Park in South Mpls, and was also very proud of his Norwegian heritage. Memorials preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church, 2511 E. Franklin Ave., Mpls or donor's choice. Interment Lakewood Cemetery.
