Poirier, Mary Ann Beloved Mother Grandmother & Friend, Age 103. Passed away peacefully on July 14, 2010. She will be missed by everyone who came to know her. A gentle, kind, beautiful lady. May she rest in peace with the Lord. Preceded in death by husband, Bernard; infant son, James; parents, Henry & Rosina Kerkering; 4 brothers, William, Paul, Leo & Frank; 3 sisters, Bernadina Schneider, Rosa Schneider & Sr. Cleadore, OSB. Mary is survived by her dear son, Dr. Robert Poirier; dear daughter-in-law, Ladda; 2 loving grandsons, Marcellus & Brandon Poirier; sister, Mrs. Veronica Fox; many dear nieces & nephews; 1 step-niece; 2 step-nephews, also many cousins & friends. An avid bowler, member of The St. Paul 600 Bowling Club. She was secretary for a 24 team Retiree League in South Minneapolis for 23 years. She enjoyed playing bridge and 500 with her friends and family. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2055 Bohland Ave., St. Paul. Visitation 4-8 PM Friday at O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul. 651-698-0796. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lumen Christi Catholic Church.
