Bushnell, Robert W. (Bob) After 100 active years, passed peacefully at home Jan. 31, surrounded by family. Long-time Wayzata resident, local newspaper columnist, outdoor magazine editor, jazz musician & band leader, justice of the peace, community and school district supporter, American Legion member, scratch golfer, fisherman and father figure to many beyond his own family. Bob grew up on the Iron Range, and left his mark there before leaving for law school (Stetson University, Fla.), interrupted by naval service in WW II. Later attended William Mitchell College of Law. Preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Belluci). He is survived by his children Bill (Betsy), Bob (Arden) and Luanna (Steve) Hacker; grandchildren, Anthony (Sarah), Angela (Jim), Laura (Will), Lesley, Charlie, Ben, Ashley (Joe), Andy (Amanda); great grandchildren, David, Michaela, Rachael, Jack, Autumn, Ethan, Abby, Haley, Skylar and his sister, Betty Petrich. Memorial service will be Tuesday, March 1st, 11:00 AM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd. in Wayzata, followed by interment at Ft. Snelling with military ceremony and full honors.
