David H. Cochran

Cochran, David H. age 91, of Shorewood. Dave was a graduate of the University of MN and a 42 year employee of 3M Company. Dave was the former Greenwood tax assessor, Greenwood Mayor, chairman of the Minnehaha Watershed District, and chairman of Lake Minnetonka Conservation District. A longtime member of the Minnetonka Yacht Club. Sailed "E" Boats and Ynglings, and taught adult sailing lessons. Dave was an avid sailor, skier, tennis player and also taught ski jammers. Survived by wife, Nell D. Cochran; children, David (Martha) Cochran Jr., Dan (Cindy) Cochran, and Kitty Cochran; grandchildren, Crystal Cochran and Dan Cochran Jr.; brother, Harrison (Dorothy) Cochran; 3 nieces. Memorial service Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at 2 PM, Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Ave., Mpls (612-871-7400). Reception to follow the service. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lake Minnetonka Sailing School, PO Box 842, Wayzata, MN 55391 or the University of MN Landscape Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Dr., Chaska, MN 55318.
