Van Meerten John Jr., born March 6, 1918 in Charles City, IA, died Jan. 1, 2002, at home. He is survived by loving wife, Alice of 59 years; and brother, Clarence; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Memorial service 12 pm Saturday at Victory Lutheran Church, 4301 Thomas Ave. No., Mpls. Private family interment.
