Vaarpuu, Ellen Born in Narva, Estonia, 2-21-1925 and died 11-1-2009 in Edina, Minnesota from complications of Alzheimer's. She worked 25 years for the Curtis Hotel and retired after 6 years from Lutheran Brotherhood and was an active member of the Estonian Community in Minnesota. Preceded in death by parents, Alide & Mihkel Vaarpuu. Survived by relatives in Estonia & friends in the United States. Memorial service Monday (11-16-09) 10 AM, Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Av. Interment Lakewood Mausoleum. Thank you to the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living & Fairview Hospice.
