Norman, Katherine Jeanette 99, of Robbinsdale, passed on October 8, 2009. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Adrian J. Norman and a grandson-in- law, Douglas P. Crowley. Survived by their two daughters, Jacqueline Heinrich Pelton and husband Dean A. and Adrienne D. Karns and husband John M.; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, Tamara Heinrich Bratland (Mark) and their sons Benjamin and Thomas; Steven Heinrich (Lisa) and their daughter Ava; Michael Heinrich; Susan Karns Minahan (Gary) and their children Brittney and Jeffrey; John N. Karns (Beverly) and their children Catherine, Madison and John R.; Jennifer Karns Sahm (Brent) and their sons Aiden and Austin and her brother, Royce Fahr. Katherine was born June 16, 1910 in Grand Forks, ND, the oldest of 4 children, to Royce and Ruby Nease Fahr. She was a graduate of North High School and Minnesota School of Business. She worked in the insurance industry for 35 years, retiring as Vice President of Security Insurance Company of America. She and Adrian traveled extensively after his retirement in 1967. She was a mentor in the Title 1 school reading program, volunteer at the North Memorial Medical Center Hospice program and was a Board member and delivered Meals-On-Wheels. Katherine was a long-time member of Parkway United Church of Christ, where she volunteered in many capacities including Sunday School Superintendent. Her memorial service will be on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Parkway United Church of Christ, 3120 Washburn Avenue North in Minneapolis.
