Tearse, Harold (Sandy), Jr. Age 88 of Wayzata, MN passed away quietly on Sunday, January 31, 2016. Preceded in death by his parents Harold Tearse Sr. and Katherine S. Tearse, sister Helen Dobson (Jacksonville, FL), Cynthia Tearse (Red Lodge, MT), and Bonnie Tearse (Las Vegas, NV). Sandy was the CEO of the Searle Grain Company in Minneapolis, and long time member of the Minneapolis Club, and Wood Hill Country Club in Wayzata. Sandy attended Blake School and Williams College. He enjoyed many activities including E scow sailing, golf, duck hunting, and was most passionate about chasing trout, small mouth bass, stripers, and salmon with his fly rods. He was a gentle fun loving father and grandfather. He travelled the world with his long time partner Topsy Simonson but his heart was always in Montana. Sandy is survived by his sister Lucia Morison and Anne (Topsy) Simonson; children; Hal Tearse (Lynn), Robin Stephenson (Steve), David Tearse (Selden), and Chris Tearse. Grandchildren include; Jaime, Cynthia and Bobby Kellogg, Nicole Wright (Casey), David Tearse, Squire Tearse, Béla Tearse. Gordon, Susan and Muffy Ritz were also part of his extended family along with their children Daniel, Elisa, Nina, Margot, Charley (Steven), Erica and Mitch. "Sandman" will be deeply missed by all.
