Grandgeorge, Michael Don 63, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at The Village Regional Hospital, The Villages, Florida. Michael was born July 24, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Francis Donald and Ione Christine Grandgeorge. He married Mary Teresa Griffey on December 11, 1976. Mike graduated from Iowa Falls High School in Iowa Falls and attended The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Mike worked for over 25 years at The Toro Company in consumer relations in Bloomington, Minnesota. Mike and Teresa enjoyed many outdoor activities together; running, cycling, golf, and especially fishing with their family at Lake of the Woods, Minnesota. They were avid, lifelong Hawkeye fans. Mike valued his family, hard work, and shared a tremendous sense of humor. Mike was the favorite uncle to 27 nieces and nephews, not the least of which are first born Greg Grandgeorge and Debby Dyess. He will be fondly remembered for birthday and Christmas packages that he sent to one and all. Mike is survived by his wife Teresa; his brothers, Jack Neal; Monte Francis (Camilla); Joseph Edward (Vicki); Steven Roy (Julie); his sister, Christine Sue (Dean) Studer; his nieces and nephews and close friend Bill Albert. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
