Simmons, Frederick M. age 88, of Vining, MN, formerly of Bloomington passed away peacefully on June 4, 2009 surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by wife, Patricia. Survived by children, Ann (Albano) Lima, Susan Gillis, Fred W. Simmons, Pastor Tom (Lynn) Simmons, Linda (Barry) Johnson, David (Pat) Simmons, Steven (Debbie) Simmons, and Jim (Ann) Simmons; grand/great-grandfather of 65. Retired 25 year Air Force Pilot and then began a 15 year career as a Science teacher at Grass Jr. High. Fred was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing with his family. He was truly a caring man who will be missed by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, June 9 at 10:00 AM at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 9900 Lyndale Ave S., Bloomington.
