Battina, Barbara Unger 81, of Scottsdale, AZ and Plymouth, MN, died December 28, 2008 in Scottsdale, AZ. She was born in Des Moines, IA and lived there until 1960 when she and her husband George moved to Minneapolis, MN. She is survived by her husband, George; son, Dann (Jane Elizabeth) Battina; four grandchildren, Brett, Bryan, Beth and Brianne and their mother Jane Mourning Battina and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Marge (Gene) Riglin of Ackley, IA and Mary Hooper of Laguna Vista, TX; plus nephews and nieces. Services will be held at a later date. The final resting place will be Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines, IA. Arrangements by Messinger Indian School Mortuary, Scottsdale, AZ.
