Johnston (Callahan), Caroline E. "Kay" age 93, longtime resident of Robbinsdale on Regent Avenue passed away October 15, 2008. Survived by children, Kathleen Gadbois, James Jr. (Carleen), Robert (Marcey), Jean (Donald) Shaughnessy, Monica Murphy and Theresa (Steven) Haik; grandchildren, Patrick Gadbois, Michele Horan, Jennifer Rosenmeyer, Kayleen Palumbo, Anjanette Downey, Mark Johnston, Kate Snyder, Camille Weier, Celine Donahue, Emily Holton, Adine Shaughnessy, Donovan Shaughnessy, Devin Murphy, Regan Murphy, Brenna Murphy, Dominic Haik and Caroline Haik; 22 great- grandchildren; sisters, Mary Gustafson, Elsie Burwell, Marjorie Jacobson; brother, Thomas Callahan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Caroline's talents were amazing. She was a woman of faith, fabulous cook, gifted seamstress, avid gardener, friend to all, and #1 Mom and Gram. Preceded in death by husband, James Bernard; brothers, Lawrence and Gerald; infant sister, Viola; sons-in-law, Michael Gadbois and Larry Murphy. "In the lilt of Irish laughter you can hear the Angels sing." Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 10 am at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 41st and Hubbard Ave. North, Robbinsdale. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, 4-7 pm at Gearty- Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 39th and W. Broadway.
