Smith, Lucille F. (nee: Crea) Magnificent wife, mother, and grandmother, age 83, of St. Paul died peacefully on November 23, 2015 with her family at her side. Preceded in death by parents, Santo and Giuseppina Crea; and siblings, Joe (Marie), Josephine (Carl) and Rocco (Lorraine). Survived by husband of 56 years, Alfred; children: Paul (Amy Kelly-Smith), Lucia Smith (Doug Lipton), Maria Gans (Lane), Stephen, Anna Rodell (Rick), Daniela Smith; grandchildren, Bailey McDonald, Stephen Lipton, Sam Gans, Michael Lipton, Nicholas Gans, Giulia Lipton, Livia Gans, Lucia Rodell; sister, Mary Waibel. Lucille, Alfred and the family lived in Italy for 11 years, where they fell in love with and were moved by the culture. Lucille became an amazing cook there and inspired the creation of the Luci and Luci Ancora restaurants. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 11:00 am at the Our Lady of Victory Chapel (Chapel on St. Catherine University Campus), 2004 Randolph Ave., St. Paul. Visitation Sunday 3-7 pm at O'Halloran & Murphy, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
