Joseph Paul Garcia, Jr.

Garcia, Joseph Paul Jr. Age 64 ~ Of Minneapolis passed away peacefully on Nov. 12, 2015. Joseph was born in Minneapolis on Oct. 3, 1951. A musician to the core, Joseph was an accomplished percussionist who played with a number of Twin Cities bands over the years, including the soul/funk/ R&B group the Lights Out Committee. Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Garcia, Sr.; mother, Andrea Garcia; and brother, Tino Garcia. Joseph will be missed by his loving wife, Gena Vasquez-Garcia; son, Joseph (Suenita) Garcia III; granddaughters Nayana and Nilaya; six siblings; mother-in-law, Jackie (Rich) Osuna; and countless other loving relatives and friends. An hour-long visitation will be held to celebrate the life of Joseph at 10 am on Thursday, Nov. 19, followed by mass at 11 am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 401 Concord Street, St. Paul, Minn.
