Ruhl, John E. age 90 of Coon Rapids, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 11, 2015. John is a US Navy Veteran who served during WWII. He also worked for the railroad and was a welder for the International Association of Machinists. John was a proud antique car aficionado and a current and active member of the VFW and American Legion of Coon Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. John is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Thelma; daughters, Pamela, Diane, and Heidi; step-children, Pat (Armin), Mark (Carol), and Joe; siblings, Mike Ruhl, Mary Jean Manos, Delores Jenosky, Frances Stolman, Milo Ruhl, and William Ruhl; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special thank you to the caring staff of St. Therese of New Hope and North Memorial Hospice. Visitation will be Sunday, November 15 from 4-7 PM at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd, NW, Coon Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 16 at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior at Church of the Epiphany, 1900 111th Ave NW, Coon Rapids. Interment at Epiphany Cemetery.
