Wiebe, Mitchell Robert 34, of Waconia, MN, died peacefully on March 14 surrounded by his beloved family. Mitch was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred & Florence Wiebe and Glenn & Dorothy Meinke. He is survived by his precious children, Nathan & Kiera; loving parents, Bob & Judy Wiebe; sisters & brothers-in-law, Anne & Pat Macy and Kristin & Chris Gardner; niece, Sophie Macy & godson, Sam Macy. Mitch is also survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles & many cousins, all of whom loved him dearly. Mitch leaves behind an enormous circle of friends and will be missed more than words can say. Mitch graduated from Waconia High School, and received his B.S in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota. He worked as an engineer at MnDOT & Hennepin County Department of Transportation. As a committed & loyal colleague, Mitch earned the friendship & respect of all. Mitch loved the Vikings, his Transformers and James Bond. He demonstrated courage, strength, & fearlessness in his long battle with cancer. Mitch was a selfless person, always putting others first. He had a calm, quiet demeanor & made everyone feel at peace. Mitch's children were the light of his life. It was his love for his children that carried him through the last part of his journey. Mitch's family wishes to thank Dr. Trusheim, Dr. Ruth, Dr. Ahlberg, and the staff at Abbott Northwestern Hospital for their skillful & compassionate care. Thanks go to the loving, caring staff at Ridgeview Home Care & Hospice. A very special thank you to Chaplain Jim Ferguson & Pastor Phil Wagner. Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia, MN at 3:00 PM Tuesday, March 18. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service.
