Fox, Dr. James Rogers age 85, formerly of Edina, MN and Naples, FL. Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Leidl. Survived by children, Stephen (Candyce) of Edina, Cynthia Wright of Minnetonka, Michael (Lisa) of Annapolis, MD, Richard (Ann) of Edina, Charles (Therese) of Golden Valley; their mother, Elizabeth Webster Curtin of Edina; stepchildren, Michael Leidl (Leslie) of St. Paul, Julie Smith (Jeff) of Maple Valley, WA, and 16 grandchildren. Born and reared in St. Paul, the son of Joseph & Margaret Rogers Fox. Cretin High School class of 1939. Graduated from University of St. Thomas before completing medical school at the University of Minnesota. Medical career included Private Practive in Internal Medicine, Medical Director of Control Data and United Capital Life Insurance. Best known for "Doctor's House Call" on KSTP television and WCCO radio from 1960's to early 1970's, as well as "Dr. Fox's Family Health Guide," published in 1965. Founder of the Academy of Occupational Medicine and the International Institute for Effective Communications. Special appreciation for the care and support by the staff at the Wellstead of Rogers and the additional support by James Wright. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Wellstead of Rogers (20600 South Diamond Lake Road, Rogers, MN 55374), or donor's choice.
